Deceivers

Our Deceivers are tied on a Mustad 34011 or 34007 stainless steel hook. Sizes # 2, 1/O, 2/O, 3/O. Heads have prismatic eyes coated with a 2-ton epoxy for a clear hard durable finish. The Deceiver will take most species of fish and has been the main stay and “go to “ fly for many years. Designed by Lefty Kreh.

  Silver Side/ Herring Deceiver

A great pattern when small herring or silver sides are around. It has been one of the most productive and popular flies for many years. Tied on a Mustad 34007 or 34011 stainless steel hook, sizes #2, 1/0, 2/0 and 3/0. All heads have prismatic eyes coated with a clear 2-ton epoxy finish.

The Olive Grizzly Deceiver

The Olive Grizzly Deceiver has been a very productive fly over the years. Developed for fishing mud flats and back water estuaries, it imitates a mummichug with its barred feathers and yellow throat.

Black Deceiver

Our Black Deceivers are double collared, one being tied at the tail wing and then the other at the head of the fly. This fly is virtually foul proof. Fish this at night or low light conditions. Tied on a Mustad 34011 or 34007 stainless steel hook sizes 1/0 or 3/0.

Al ’s Deceiver

Our Al ’s Deceivers, with its florescent colors is a very bright attractor fly. This fly was designed by Al Bovin and is a great spring pattern for dark murky waters. Tied on a Mustad 34007 or a 34011 hook sizes #2, 1/0 or 3/0. You will find this fly in Deke Meyer’s book, Saltwater Flies: Over 700 of the best.

Eel Flies

Our Eel Flies are tied on Eagle Claw 254SS stainless steel 3/O hook. Bill Catherwood , the father of big fish flies, had it right 40 years ago with his spun deer hair head flies, it pushes water and sends vibrations fish can’t resist. Fly length; white/chart 6” to 7” long, black up to 8”or over.

Grocery Flies

My Big Eye Series of flies are tied on Eagle Claw 254SS 4/O hook. Length of flies are over 6” long and in excess of 3” wide. This is a big fish fly, will keep smaller fish off and stay in the strike zone longer. So Mr. Big Fat Lazy Bass will have more time to eat the fly. Responsible for many fish over 30”. Bunny Flies

Bunny flies are tied with both Zonker and Cross Cut rabbit strips. Tied on an Eagle Claw # 1/O 254SS stainless steel hook, they are very effective on False Albacore and Bonito. White is the most popular color but will tie in any color combination, yellow /chart./ black, etc. All heads have prismatic eyes coated with a clear 2-ton epoxy finish.
